How do I start a new obituary?

Sign in, open the Home screen, and tap + Create an Obituary. The guided conversation will ask about key life moments and family details. Responses auto-save, so you can leave and return without losing progress.

Where can I find an obituary I already started?

All drafts live in the Home screen list. Obituaries are sorted by last updated time—just tap the card to reopen the conversation or the detail view. If you sign in on another device, everything syncs automatically through your account.

How do I export or share the finished writing?

Open the obituary detail screen and use the share menu. From there you can copy the full text, generate a PDF, print, or enable a public link for family members. PDF export and public links require Premium access.

How do I upgrade to Premium or restore a purchase?

Tap any Unlock Full Obituary banner or visit Settings > Go Premium. Purchases are processed through the App Store or Google Play via RevenueCat. To restore on a new device, open Settings > Restore Purchases after signing in with the same store account.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google. On iOS, go to Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. On Android, open Google Play > Payments and subscriptions. Locate “Write an Obituary” and follow the on-screen steps to cancel or change plans.

How can I delete my account and data?

Open Settings > Account and tap Delete Account. You’ll be asked to confirm; once confirmed, all obituaries and account data are removed from our servers. You can also send a deletion request to support@writeanobituary.app.
